Beyond My Wheelchair: His paintings gave him a voice and a way to interact with the world.

emotions...

Painting is my passion.  Just the actual act of painting gives me freedom that I cannot get in any other way.  Part of the joy comes from the motion of putting color on canvas and the rest of the joy comes from creating something from my mind and soul that is uniquely me.  I love the very act of painting.  I also love the fact that I can now freely express my emotions and thoughts and give them to the world.  Simply, painting completes me.

I love the freedom and movement of water and ended up painting the joy of being one with the water.

This piece demonstrates how an object that is white actually picks up all the colors surrounding it.

The play of light and shadow is just fascinating.

Bottles are exciting to paint because of the reflections inside the bottles.
  • Potpourri: Orange Teapot 2

I was working on getting my shapes down in this piece.
